RUFCO was established in 1972 and has since embraced change and was re-structured in 2003. We are an engineering company based in Postmasburg, situated in the Northern Cape and are approximately 200km west of Kimberley.

Due to our local infrastructure and work force, Rufco is able to supply services on a larger scale to the local mines and also able to assist SMME companies.

Rufco’s infrastructure include a premises of 26 000m² of which 4795m² are under roof and an open area of 21 000m². We strive to achieve total sustainable development with a 200kw Solar System.

We continue to innovate over time and advance to the latest technology, enabling us to grow with the times. Our extensive engineering facilities, enable us to satisfy the demand for both small projects and major undertakings of large tonnages of steel. A team of trained workmen prepares and fabricates the steelwork from detailed drawings, and then erects the prepared components on site according to the specifications. Our strength lies in building long term relationships with our clients and suppliers.

Rufco Construction utilizes Tekla Structures software to produce 3D models, which enables the client and engineers to directly have input and clear perspective of the final product. Accurate shop detail drawings, reports and data is shared electronically with our CNC machines in the workshop. This gives us more control in the production process from material ordering, traceability, optimal production, quality, cost effective fabrication and successful erecting of projects.

Alternatively, mechanical components are modelled on CAD software as part of the designing and manufacturing process at Rufco Construction.

Over the years Rufco has acquired an excellent reputation for quality projects. Our Quality System does not only revolve around manufacturing a good product, but on improving the competitiveness, effectiveness and flexibility of the whole organization in satisfying the clients demands. All our personnel are encouraged to participate in a preventative quality improvement process whereby total customer satisfaction is achieved. A quality plan is produced for all projects, which comply to with our client’s requirements and the provisions of ISO 9001. These may be modified on a case basis to meet special project requirements.
